I studied ballet, modern, and choreography as an undergrad. I was, however, a dual citizen of the US and Israel, and was drafted by the IDF after college. That ended my dance career. I got back into it after my divorce. I take class at the local community college (I waddle more than dance), sit on the board of a local dance company, and choreograph pieces I have shown around California's central coast.When I am not dancing, I am a professor at the Department of Defense's only graduate school. It is work that combines the attributes of being both a scholar and a soldier, takes me all over the world, and gives me a strong sense of purpose.I have two kids - both at university right now. For fun, we like to surf and crack escape rooms.
